The Design Process
Meet:
We meet with you on-site to get to know you, your existing landscape, and the surrounding conditions. We talk through what you like and don’t like about the space, how you hope to use it, other priorities you have for the space, and how involved you’d like to be in the design process. With what we learn in this visit, we create a tailored design proposal for your project. By the end of our meeting, you’ll feel heard, understood, and clear about the next steps.
Design:
In the design phase, we map out the layout of your outdoor space and specify the materials, plants, and key elements. We typically work through two phases of design development, with a meeting at each stage so we can add layers, refine details, and make decisions together without overwhelm. At the end of this process, you receive a complete drawing package, the “blueprints” for shaping your exterior space.
Implement:
In this phase, we help you move from plans to reality in the way that best fits how involved you want to be. Most clients choose to work with a landscape contractor for installation, and we can refer trusted contractor(s) and share the plans they’ll need for estimates. We prefer to stay involved through installation, collaborating with your contractor, answering questions, and helping maintain the integrity of the design as it’s built.
